The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA 2026, delivered another unforgettable night of glamour, celebration and recognition for the African entertainment industry as celebrities, filmmakers and creatives gathered in Lagos for the prestigious annual event. Held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, the ceremony brought together some of the continent’s biggest stars in film and television, with fans across Africa following every moment live both on television and online.
The night was filled with emotional speeches, breathtaking fashion moments and fierce competition across several categories as outstanding actors, directors, producers and technical experts were rewarded for their contributions to African storytelling. Several other productions also received recognition during the ceremony, including Lisabi: A Legend Is Born, Gingerrr, Inimba and The Herd, all of which earned applause for their performances and creative achievements.
The ceremony was hosted by popular Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma alongside South African media personality Nomzamo Mbatha, both of whom kept the audience entertained throughout the night with humour and engaging stage moments.
