A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has granted former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai permission to receive dental and eye treatment in Abuja while remaining under the strict supervision of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.
The ruling came amid ongoing legal proceedings involving the former governor, who is currently facing allegations related to fraud and money laundering alongside a co defendant, Joel Adoga. Both men had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them by the ICPC.
According to details released by the commission, El Rufai’s legal team approached the court with a request seeking variation of his bail conditions and also made what was described as a compassionate appeal for access to urgent medical care.
