Morgan Gibbs White has been called up to the England squad as a replacement for Cole Palmer, who has withdrawn from international duty because of a muscle issue.

Gibbs White now gets another opportunity to make an impression at international level. The Nottingham Forest captain has six England appearances to his name and was previously left out of the squad for the World Cup despite an impressive campaign with his club.
The 26 year old midfielder scored 18 goals last season and has continued to contribute for Forest this term, recording a goal and two assists in his opening five matches.
His recall gives Tuchel another creative midfield option ahead of England’s Nations League campaign. The Three Lions are scheduled to face Spain at Wembley before travelling to the Czech Republic and Croatia, with another meeting against the Czech Republic completing the international schedule.
Gibbs White’s inclusion also represents a fresh opportunity for the Forest midfielder to strengthen his position within the England setup after missing out on the World Cup squad.
Palmer’s withdrawal comes at an unfortunate time for the Chelsea star, who had been given an opportunity to rebuild his international career following his omission from the World Cup.
