According to her, the family’s major concern is finding a medical team or facility willing and able to manage his condition. She stressed that their appeal was not primarily for financial donations but for medical intervention that could give the veteran actor another opportunity to receive treatment.

Kira also appealed for help, confirming that her father is battling stage four cancer. She said the family had been informed that further chemotherapy could not be administered, prompting them to seek alternative medical options and specialists who may be able to assist.

The daughters’ emotional appeals have generated concern among fans and members of the Nigerian entertainment industry, with many expressing sympathy for the actor and his family.

Kira also acknowledged the support the family has received from Senator Yayi, whom she said had been assisting with the medical expenses. However, she maintained that what the family urgently needs is access to appropriate medical care and professionals who can evaluate their father and advise on possible treatment options.

Taiwo Hassan, 66, is one of the veteran figures in Yoruba cinema, having built a career spanning more than four decades. He has appeared in hundreds of Nigerian films and remains widely recognised for his contributions to the Yoruba film industry.

The family’s appeal has consequently drawn renewed attention to the challenges faced by cancer patients and their families when advanced illness requires complex and specialised care.

While his daughters have disclosed that the actor is battling stage four cancer, details about the specific type of cancer and his current medical condition have not been publicly provided by the family. The family is therefore appealing directly to medical professionals and institutions capable of assessing his condition and determining whether further treatment options are available.

For Ogogo’s loved ones, the immediate priority remains finding appropriate medical assistance as they continue to hope for an intervention that can improve the veteran actor’s condition.

The emotional plea from his daughters has also prompted an outpouring of concern from Nigerians, many of whom are hoping that the actor receives the specialist attention and support he needs during this difficult period.
