Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge after his agent confirmed that plans are being explored for the Argentine international to leave the Premier League club amid growing interest from Real Madrid.

Despite the strong links, a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu remains far from straightforward. Chelsea are reportedly unwilling to part with one of their most valuable assets unless a substantial offer is made, with the club expected to demand a fee in the region of £120 million. Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica in a British record deal in 2023 and has established himself as one of the club’s key midfielders. His impressive performances for both club and country have made him one of Europe’s most sought after players, with Real Madrid viewing him as a long-term addition to their midfield.
For now, Fernandez’s immediate priority remains helping Argentina progress at the World Cup, while any decision regarding his club future is expected to become clearer once the tournament concludes. Unless Real Madrid find a way to meet Chelsea’s financial demands or negotiate an alternative deal, the Spanish giants may have to look elsewhere as the summer transfer window unfolds.
