The electoral commissioner further urged residents of Ekiti State to participate actively in the democratic process by coming out to vote peacefully and responsibly. He encouraged eligible voters to verify their registration details, safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards, and resist any attempts by individuals or groups seeking to disrupt the election or compromise its credibility.

He reiterated that INEC’s primary responsibility is to deliver an election that commands public confidence and strengthens democratic governance. According to him, the commission remains focused on ensuring that every valid vote counts and that the outcome of the election truly reflects the will of the electorate.

Political observers have welcomed the assurances, noting that voter confidence often increases when electoral authorities and security agencies demonstrate readiness and transparency. However, many stakeholders have also stressed the importance of translating these promises into action on election day, emphasizing that the credibility of any election depends not only on preparation but also on effective implementation.

As political parties continue to mobilize supporters and intensify campaigns across the state, attention is increasingly turning toward the role of INEC and security agencies in delivering a peaceful and credible contest. With assurances of robust security measures and a commitment to transparency, expectations remain high that the forthcoming electoral exercise in Ekiti will further strengthen democratic participation and public trust in the electoral system.
