The United States has announced that it will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, underscoring the country’s strategic importance to Washington and the need for a credible democratic process.
The assurance was given by United States Congressman Riley Moore, who said the administration of President Donald Trump would be paying close attention to developments leading up to Nigeria’s next general election.
