Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has stirred fresh controversy after issuing a stern warning to Fulani settlers living in parts of Oyo State, declaring that they would be driven out after ongoing rescue operations involving kidnapped victims are concluded.
The outspoken activist made the statement while addressing members of the Fulani community amid rising insecurity and repeated incidents of kidnapping in the state. His remarks came against the backdrop of growing public anger over the abduction of schoolchildren, teachers and residents in several communities across Oyo State.
According to reports, Igboho accused some criminal elements operating from forest settlements of terrorising local communities and turning the region into a haven for kidnappers.
