Speaking in a voice note reportedly shared online by a Kogi-based journalist and now circulating widely on social media, Emmanuel Odiniya claimed that the altercation was not motivated by hatred toward his daughter but by frustration over their deteriorating relationship after her victory at the BBNaija All Stars reality show.
According to him, he made enormous sacrifices and mobilised significant support to help Ilebaye emerge victorious during the competition. He stated that he used his connections and influence to campaign for votes and stood firmly behind her throughout the reality show journey.
The father alleged that things changed dramatically after she became famous and financially successful. He claimed that Ilebaye gradually stopped listening to him, became distant from the family and allegedly began showing disrespect towards him despite his support for her career.
Emmanuel further accused the reality TV star of becoming physically aggressive toward him on previous occasions. He alleged that she once attacked him with an AC hanger and caused him injuries severe enough to draw blood.
