The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with over 1.8 million candidates across Nigeria now able to check their scores.
The examination body disclosed that the results were released in batches following the completion of marking and verification processes. Reports indicate that the released figures cover candidates who sat for the exam across multiple days, including the early sessions conducted in mid-April. The board had earlier rolled out results from initial batches before completing the full nationwide release.
The UTME remains a crucial requirement for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria, testing candidates in four subjects, including the compulsory Use of English, with scores graded over a total of 400 marks.
JAMB also urged candidates to remain patient and follow official procedures when checking their results, warning against misinformation and the use of unauthorized platforms.
With the release now largely completed, attention is expected to shift toward post-UTME screenings and admission processes across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education nationwide.
