Security forces have recorded fresh operational successes in Borno and Adamawa states, with a suspected Boko Haram or ISWAP terrorist surrendering to troops while six suspected kidnappers were arrested in separate operations.
The terrorist reportedly surrendered to troops in Borgozo, Benisheikh, in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. Preliminary investigations indicated that he escaped from a terrorist enclave and decided to abandon terrorism.

In Adamawa State, troops operating around Soktu Hill in Song Local Government Area arrested six suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate following credible intelligence about their activities.
Three suspects were initially arrested during a raid on their hideout, with a Dane gun recovered. Further investigations and covert operations led to the arrest of three additional suspects.
The suspects are alleged to have operated across the Soktu, Dumne and Maigero areas, where preliminary investigations indicated their involvement in several abductions for ransom and other violent crimes.
The suspects and the surrendered terrorist remain in military custody for further investigation and profiling as authorities continue efforts to disrupt terrorism and criminal activities in the region.
