Afrobeats superstar Davido has strongly condemned the recent attack on the chairman of the Accord Party in Osogbo Local Government Area of Osun State, calling for an end to political violence and urging politicians to embrace democratic principles ahead of the state’s governorship election.
The singer reacted after suspected gunmen reportedly attacked the Accord Party chairman, Asimiyu Ajibola, popularly known as Baba Isila, and his associates on Wednesday night in Osogbo. Reports indicate that the attackers opened fire on a vehicle conveying the politician and his team around the Osogbo Community Bank area, leaving Ajibola injured and causing panic among residents.
