Portuguese football manager José Mourinho is reportedly on the verge of making a sensational return to Real Madrid more than a decade after leaving the Spanish giants, a development that has sent shockwaves across the football world and sparked massive excitement among fans. Reports emerging from Europe indicate that Mourinho has agreed to take over at the Santiago Bernabéu following Real Madrid’s disappointing campaign and growing pressure on the club’s management to restore stability and success.

According to reports, discussions between Mourinho and Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez intensified in recent weeks after the club endured a difficult season marked by poor performances, dressing room tensions and failure to compete strongly for major trophies. Mourinho, who is currently managing Benfica, is said to have emerged as the leading candidate to rescue the club despite speculation linking other high-profile coaches to the role.

The reports claim the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss is expected to sign a two-year contract that would officially seal his dramatic comeback to Madrid, where he previously coached between 2010 and 2013. During his first spell at the club, Mourinho won the La Liga title, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup while building one of the most competitive Real Madrid sides in modern football history.  ..READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE .

Mourinho’s return is reportedly being viewed by club executives as an attempt to restore discipline, leadership and winning mentality within the squad after a turbulent period under interim manager Álvaro Arbeloa. The team’s struggles reportedly worsened after internal conflicts emerged among players, with reports of dressing room disagreements and growing frustration among supporters over inconsistent performances.

Sources close to the negotiations revealed that Mourinho has already started identifying potential transfer targets as part of plans to rebuild the squad. Midfield star Rodri has reportedly been mentioned as one of the players Mourinho would like to bring to Madrid, while speculation also surrounds possible tactical changes involving key stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Júnior.

Despite the excitement surrounding the possible reunion, Mourinho’s return has also divided opinion among some fans and former players due to the controversial nature of his previous tenure at the club. His first spell was marked by intense rivalry with FC Barcelona, heated confrontations with referees and strained relationships with several players, including former club captain Iker Casillas.

Mourinho recently hinted at uncertainty surrounding his future, admitting that discussions about his next managerial step would be concluded within days. While no official announcement has yet been made by Real Madrid, multiple reports suggest the deal is now in advanced stages and could be finalized once the current season officially ends.

The possible comeback has already become one of the biggest talking points in global football, with many supporters eager to see whether the self-proclaimed “Special One” can once again revive Real Madrid and return the club to dominance in Spain and Europe.
