Nigerian crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has addressed viral reports linking him to a possible run for the Anambra State governorship, setting social media abuzz with mixed reactions.

The speculation began after a campaign-style flyer circulated online, claiming the businessman was preparing to contest in the state’s upcoming gubernatorial race, reportedly under the African Action Congress (AAC). Reacting to the trending claim, Blord took to his Instagram page with a casual and somewhat humorous response, suggesting he had only just seen the rumours and might consider the idea. His post, written partly in pidgin, hinted at curiosity rather than confirmation, leaving fans guessing about his true intentions.

The development has since ignited conversations online, with many supporters encouraging him to venture into politics. Several fans expressed confidence in his chances, citing his influence among young Nigerians and entrepreneurial success as potential advantages in a political race. Others, however, advised caution, warning against rushing into politics without proper structure and experience.

Blord’s recent return to public attention follows a series of legal controversies involving online activist Martins Vincent Otse, which had earlier dominated headlines. His release appears to have reignited interest in both his business and possible political ambitions.

In a related development, the entrepreneur recently revealed his connection to activist Omoyele Sowore and his involvement in the “Revolution Now” movement, further fueling speculation about a potential shift toward political engagement.

While Blord has not made any official declaration regarding a governorship bid, the buzz around his name highlights a growing trend of youth interest in political participation, particularly among influential figures in Nigeria’s digital and business space.

For now, whether the billionaire businessman will take the leap into politics remains uncertain—but one thing is clear: Nigerians are already watching closely.
