Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move to sign Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall, and GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs has confirmed he would want the move.

Hall has enjoyed a phenomenal rise since his move to St James’ Park, but the Magpies endured a difficult season last time out.

As a result, a number of players have already headed through the exit door, including Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Anthony Gordon...READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE .

Newcastle will be desperate to keep the remainder of their key stars, but it certainly won’t be easy with interest growing.

According to GIVEMESPORT correspondent Jacobs, if Manchester United agreed a fee with Newcastle this summer, Hall would want to make the move to Old Trafford.

“If Man United, today, agreed a club-to-club fee with Newcastle United, Hall would want the move.”

Jacobs also adds that it certainly won’t be an easy deal for them to do. It could cost over £75 million for United to prise him away from St. James’ Park.

“I think £75 million or more now because we’re talking so late in the window. It’s a personal view, but I don’t think £45m, £55m, £60m would cut it.”

Whether United would be willing to pay a fee of around £75 million remains to be seen, as it’s certainly a lot of money.

Fabrizio Romano confirms that Manchester United’s next priority after potentially signing Brighton’s Carlos Baleba would be to bring in a left-back.

“Manchester United keep looking for new left back, next priority after Baleba deal. There have been calls with Alejandro Balde’s camp over last days to understand if exit is possible and conditions. Balde, happy at Barcelona.”

Romano confirms that Alejandro Balde of Barcelona is another target, which could raise doubts over how possible a deal for Hall actually is.

Jacobs also confirmed that, although it’s not a 0% chance that Hall will join United, it is under 10%.

“It’s not 0% chance for Lewis Hall, but it’s under 10%.”
